Product Introduction
The pre-heated solar water heater uses a vacuum-tube collector to pre-heat water into a storage tank; an integrated auxiliary heater (electric element or gas) then raises the water to the final set temperature. Solar handles the bulk of the load, while the auxiliary covers cloudy days and peak demand.
In the typical tank-in-tank design, cold mains water first passes through the outer pre-heat jacket warmed by the solar loop, then into the inner tank where the auxiliary heater delivers the final temperature — maximizing solar fraction while guaranteeing comfort.
This hybrid approach cuts electricity or gas bills sharply versus full auxiliary heating, and ensures reliable hot water even in low-sun periods.
